Marketing Manager, ASEAN and South Asia - Breast and Skeletal Health

The Position
This is a permanent role reporting directly to the Vice President, General Manager, ASEAN and South Asia.

The Marketing Manager is an experienced, senior professional who will lead the Regional Marketing and Market Access functions.

This role has to formulate specific marketing and business development strategies and activities for the Breast and Skeletal Health Business , bringing innovative and creative approaches to drive high growth. The person will have superior project management skills, broad experience across all areas of marketing and a proven track record of working with senior professionals and executive thought leaders, as well as influencing positive outcomes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

Marketing Strategy, Planning and Competitive Analysis

  • Conception of marketing strategies, preparation of annual marketing plans and its implementation for top markets
  • Liaise with marketing and advertising agencies to build a strong product communication plan around our portfolio for external branding
  • Utilize analytics to develop greater understanding of segment‐specific customer behaviours; leverage insights into impactful campaigns for each customer segment
  • Work closely with sales team to have an in depth understanding of market trends and competitive activities and adjust marketing plans to respond to market needs
  • Provide monthly update on the execution of marketing strategies and competitor activities

New Product Launch

  • New Product Launch – prepare, plan, together with the Leadership and sales teams to identify new product introductions to maintain market leadership, create first mover advantage or drive to competitor conversions, during business planning sessions
  • Develop a communication plan both internally and externally to create demand to ensure successful launch uptake
  • Prepare a pre-launch, launch and post launch plan to flawlessly execute a new product launch

Strategic education and training

  • Work with ASA and AP Teams to develop and execute educational/training programs for HCPs from building awareness to trial to adoption of a procedure/product
  • Provide HCPs selection guide to sales team to ensure the HCPs selected for educational/training programs matches the program offered
  • Help in tracking adoption post training to ensure compliance
  • Drive workshops to increase the adoption of targeted new or core products
  • Utilize KOLs within Southeast Asia to drive education/training programs to enhance the overall skills of radiologists within the country or region
  • Leverage on Centers of Excellence within AP to drive HCP training

KOL Management and Market Development Activities

  • Map, identify and interact with customers, KOLs, and industry thought leaders to gain insight on market and customer needs in order to develop key influencer engagement and belief strategies
  • Build and maintain key customer relationships to develop key opinion leaders and reference base to support education, training and market development activities
  • Develop pipeline of KOLs for new product launches and educational/training programs
  • Establish Centers of Excellence with KOLs to provide education /training to HCP from ASA

Product Management

  • Support Sales Managers to create value proposition and key messaging for relevant stakeholders to ensure conversion of competitive accounts as well as adoption of Hologic technologies for reimbursement
  • Work closely with Asia Pacific or Global teams to get alignment on new product introductions
  • Maintain robust New Product Introduction plan to create a competitive advantage for sales teams
  • Ensure product competence of sales teams through regular product training and updates
  • Develop pricing strategy for local Marketing or Sales Managers either based on cost-based pricing, competitive pricing or customer-based pricing before the launch of products or during market assessments

Best Practice Sharing

  • Study the successful business models from Asia Pacific and Global teams, and subsequently customize and implement them in ASEAN and Soth Asia
  • Identify and transfer of best practice sharing across the sales teams

Market Access

  • Support GM to drive market access, policy changes strategies across the region KPIs and P&L of the BSH business
  • Market Share Launch KPIs, Execution of programs and their outcomes

The successful candidate will have experience at:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and track record in increasingly senior marketing roles, preferably in a professional Healthcare Medical device industry
  • Commercial and Business Management experience required, including the ability to achieve goals by leading with influence in a non‐ hierarchical collaborative culture
  • Experience leading branding, digital marketing, and editorial areas
  • Strong analytical, project management skills, especially leading sizable and complex projects; and demonstrated success developing and implementing process improvement
  • Strategic planning and hands‐on operational/execution skills
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Experience with CRM a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Qualification / Education

  • Strong preference for a Master’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Marketing or a related field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
