About the role

As the Business Unit Director for Breast and Skeletal Health (BSKH), you will be reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager. You will have responsibility for the division and will have full P&L accountability and be responsible for budgeting and monitoring financial performance. You will develop a strategic vision for the business and lead the implementation of sales, marketing and product management initiatives that drive the performance of the BSKH business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Develop near and long-term strategic plans for the business that consider both organic growth and partnership/acquisition-driven growth
  • Provide oversight and management of multiple initiatives. Ensure that work is completed efficiently in identifying issues, adjusting priorities, establishing team member routines, tracking progress and leveraging resources
  • Implement near and long-term action plans for the business that will result in business performance improvement
  • Understand and analyse financial data (e.g., balance sheet, P&L, volume trends, return on investment, plan vs. actuals, volume and rate variance) and the relationships between the various data points
  • Prepare annual budget, budget controls, and budget variances for the efficient management of the business
  • Build and manage a customer base to maximize sales performance. Be responsible for top line and bottom line results
  • Lead BSKH team members to achieve top and bottom line business objectives and drive profitable growth

About you

  • It is essential that you can excel within a results-oriented environment where revenue growth and profitability are emphasised
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence are prerequisites, as are product knowledge and a high degree of technical competency 
  • A broad base of leadership experience working within a global medical devices manufacturer 
  • Demonstrated solid upward career progression on the commercial side of your past businesses
